This striking kitchen came from the Client’s love of Italian design. They had been to various kitchen designers looking for something unique and loved Lucy’s sculptural approach.
The island is the main feature, with both the worksurface, drawers and extractor all clad in Neolith ceramic material. A custom made stainless steel frame supports the island, giving the space needed to juxtapose the heavy extractor housing. The sleek induction hob fits seamlessly into the island.
The kitchen furniture either side of the island is designed to hide into the background, so a matt white lacquer was a natural choice of finish.
The sink worksurface and moulded sink are formed from white Corian, headwearing and easy to keep clean.
The sink run steps up to become floating too, after the integrated dishwasher, again adding to the interest and shaped theme of this project.
This large open plan space was actually three different spaces before all walls were removed and a single floor finish laid down.
Our Client collected interesting, modern European furniture so we designed this to sit within the overall scheme.
